Top 5 Dining Room Design Ideas for Easter

Easter is just around the corner and if you are one for traditions, this means plenty of chocolate and of course a delectable Easter Sunday roast to look forward to.

This naturally puts focus on your dining area and we often find that we have many customers who decide to overhaul their dining room interior design at this time of year.

In preparation for this, we have put together our top 5 dining room design ideas to provide you with a little inspiration…

1. Small is Beautiful

We are encountering an increasing number of city based customers who find themselves limited by space and often don’t have a dedicated dining room to call their own. This is resulting in the rise of a concept known as the dinette.

A dinette is effectively a small alcove or allocated space within a living area which is designated for dining. It usually consists of a small dining table and accompanying chairs which are designed to take up as little floor space as possible.

All in all, this means that you no longer have an excuse not to eat meals at the dining table irrespective of how much space you have available. Indeed, we stock a wide selection of small dining room table and chair sets, which would be perfect for a dinette.

2. The Epitome of Luxury

Nothing says luxury like marble, and our wide selection of marble dining room tables are consistently amongst our best selling items.

Marble dining tables do tend to be more expensive than many of the alternatives, but the real advantage they have is that they never seem to go out of fashion. This combined with the long service life, durability and ease of cleaning means that they are well worth investing in over the longer term.

Our marble dining tables are available in various shapes and sizes, designed for even the smallest of dinettes.

3. Glamorous

Striving for a glamorous aesthetic is very much in vogue at the moment when it comes to dining room styles.

In response to this we have made some changes to the design of the dining chairs we have available to buy online. This includes alterations to some of our most popular items including our incredibly comfortable Chelsea scoop back dining chairs which are now available in brushed pink velvet upholstery and with complementary white legs.

However, we do advise you to tread with caution when it comes to chasing the glamorous aesthetic. Opting for too many furnishings which correspond with this style can result in glamorous dining room designs become a little tacky. We therefore advise you to limit the number of glamorous or eye catching items you buy and instead purposefully mix these items in with much more understated furnishings and accessories so as to avoid overwhelming the senses.

4. The Relaxed Vibe

Gone are the days of correctly lined up cutlery and swan napkins. When we head to the dining table in modern times, we tend to demand a more relaxed vibe.

We have introduced a line of dining room benches to fit in with this, which help to create a more social ambience compared to more formal traditional dining chairs.

Alternatively, you could opt for a breakfast table set up instead of a dining table or dinette. These too are becoming far more popular in the modern day which is why we have also introduced a line of modern breakfast bar stools in a range of designs which are intended to correspond with various dining room styles.

5. The Rustic Look

In vogue dining room styles are constantly changing and one of the current trends is to opt for a more rustic aesthetic akin to a cottage setting.

We have introduced reclaimed elm dining tables to our range in a variety of sizes stretching up to 2.2m tables which are ideal for larger gatherings. Working with industry leading furniture manufacturers, we have ensured quality with solid slabs of reclaimed elm wood being supported by strong metal frames which are very much in keeping with rustic dining room styles.
